👋 Welcome to URoom. URoom is built around one simple idea: create a room and start a conversation. This room is the place to talk about URoom, share feedback, suggest ideas, report problems, and follow what we’re building next.

URoom rooms can have four visibility types: Public — anyone can discover the room, view the conversation, and join. Request — anyone can discover the room, but they must request access before they can join and take part. Invite — anyone can discover the room, but only invited people can join and take part in the conversation. Hidden — the room is completely private and cannot be discovered by anyone who hasn’t been invited. Only members with access can find and enter it. Choose the visibility that fits the kind of space you want to create.

URoom conversations can be more than just text. Messages — chat in real time with everyone in the room. Images — upload and share photos or memes directly in the conversation. Videos — upload videos and watch them inside the room. GIFs — search for and send GIFs without leaving the conversation. YouTube — paste a YouTube link and the video can be played directly inside the room. Links — share links to websites and other content. You can also reply to messages, @mention members, react, and pin important messages to keep conversations organized. Everything happens inside the room.

New feature: share messages from Public rooms 🔗 You can now share URoom messages to all social media platforms, with the message appearing in a clean preview card showing the room, sender, and message. Public conversations can now travel beyond URoom.

Clicking on the message card on other platforms will open the room, on that message!

And sharing messages from other Public rooms to your room, also creates a clean preview card of that message!
